DR ANDRE OLIVIER – JOINT RECONSTRUCTION & ORTHOPAEDIC ONCOLOGY
Dr Andre Olivier has extensive experience in performing primary hip and knee replacements, revision arthroplasty and knee arthroscopies. He sub-specialised in Musculoskeletal Tumours and Joint Reconstruction. In addition to his elective practise he is also an on-call doctor for trauma and fractures.
DR ROBERT P DACHS – SPECIALIST ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON
In 2013 he completed a fellowship in trauma and upper limb surgery at Groote Schuur Hospital, followed by an 18-month fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery under the mentorship of Professor Steve Roche and Dr Basil Vrettos, with whom he continues to work in association.
DR MARK MARITZ – SPECIALIST ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON WITH EXPERTISE IN HIP, KNEE AND FOOT AND ANKLE SURGERY
Dr Mark Maritz’s field of interest includes hip and knee arthroplasty; soft tissue sporting injuries to the knee and ankle; as well as a wide range of foot and ankle pathologies. He has a keen interest in minimally invasive arthroscopic treatments for sporting injuries. He has gained extensive experience in managing complex lower limb injuries.
IAIN JOHNSON – SPECIALIST PODIATRIST
Iain Johnston (Podiatrist) provides a comprehensive approach to foot health. We believe in a holistic approach to dealing with your problems in order to solve them quicker than one normally would with an isolated approach.
DR CLIVE PETTIPHER – SPECIALIST IN ARTHRITIS AND RHEUMATOLOGY
Dr Clive Pettipher is a leading expert in the field of Arthritis and Rheumatology and established Cape Arthritis and Rheumatology in 2015 in the iconic Busamed Hospital. He qualified as a specialist physician in Johannesburg in 1998 and rheumatologist in 2000. He completed his fellowship at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, acquiring invaluable training.
Dr Pettipher started a private practice at Wilgeheuwel Hospital in 2001 until 2014 in rheumatology. He ran a large biologics clinic with over 200 patients on these life-changing therapies.
His ongoing special interests include the following
• research in biological therapies in South Africa and currently manages the South African Biologics Registry (SABIO).
• Musculoskeletal imaging – ultrasound of tendons and joints related to rheumatology – trained overseas by the European League Against Rheumatism.
Dr Pettipher is honoured to be a recent president of the South African Rheumatism and Arthritis Association (SARAA) during which time he published the South African Recommendations for the Management of Rheumatoid Arthritis: ‘An algorithm for the standard of care in 2013’, SAMJ.
Dr Pettipher has also published various articles on tuberculosis in international journals and was awarded the Solly Herwitz academic prize for his research and the best MMed in 2000 at the University of the Witwatersrand. He is currently an advisory board member for Roche, Abbvie and Jansen Pharmaceuticals.
DR CHRIS JOOSTE – GENERAL PRACTITIONER
Dr Chris Jooste studied medicine at the University of Pretoria and obtained his degree in 1992. He did his internship at Jubilee Hospital outside Hammanskraal, before working as an assistant in Carltonville and Pretoria.
In 1995 he moved to Witbank where he practised until 2013 when he bought the practice of dr Heunis in Gordon’s Bay.
His areas of interest include Travel Medicine, Cancer and Palliative Care and Pain Management. He completed courses in all of these fields and is passionate about expanding his knowledge further to improve his competence as an all-round family practitioner.

The practice consists of three doctors, Dr Olivier, Dr Swanepoel and Dr Keyser. We are general practitioners.
